“Fantastic Reunion Getaway Spot – The East Wing near Rufford Park Lodge was fantastic. Very clean and comfortable place with everything we needed for a long weekend reunion. Indoor and outdoor spaces (including large hot tub) for socializing. Well supplied kitchen and a great table for dining. Spacious, versatile rooms are all very good accommodations. Everyone what quite happy. Derek was very accommodating and helpful letting us check in a bit early and making sure we had everything we needed. Would definitely stay here again!”

“Absolutely amazing lodge with great facilities! The owners are fantastic – after booking the lodge for our wedding the date was moved 3 times due to Covid and they went above and beyond to make sure everything was rebooked. The lodge itself was clean, spacious and comfortable with plenty of room to sleep 10 guests. Loads of bathrooms including one with a jet bath and shower! Hot tub was great fun and clean. Kitchen well stocked and has a large range stove and new fridge freezer. Would highly recommend and I’m looking to stay again in the future!”

“We had a lovely week and thoroughly enjoyed the area, with some fabulous meals out, great walks and quality family time. Your property was perfect for our board games each evening and allowed us to relax together in the courtyard area. I think we will certainly return to explore the area further in the future.”

“A very well located lodge, near to all the amenities and places to go around Sherwood Forest. It’s a 25-minutes walk through to Rufford Abbey Park – a great place to visit for any family. The lodge also has a fabulous hot-tub which we all enjoyed relaxing in.”

“We had a great stay, Rufford Lodge was clean, comfortable, warm and well appointed and had everything we needed. We were a party of ten( three families) there to celebrate a seventyth birthday. It was super to be all together, there were plenty of games in the drawers and the hot tub went down particularly well. There was plenty to do in the area and would like to visit again. Any little hiccups were sorted quickly and efficiently – a great place which even the cold weather couldn’t spoil.”

“Fantastic house and was perfect for a wedding base. The house is in a fantastic setting of beautiful countryside and very accessible to amenities. The house was the perfect solution to needing a place where family and bridesmaids could meet and flowers prepared for a wedding. The outdoor jacuzzi was a great fun element to our stay and offered a place to relax although we did thoroughly enjoy the open log fire in the cold evenings. The house is well appointed and has most things you could possibly need.”

“Great place for a family get together or special occasion. We booked Rufford Park Lodge Mon-Fri for a family group of seven (6 adults & a child) in October half term. We were looking for somewhere special to hole up & spend some quality time together & it did not disappoint! There is plenty of space for a large group & it is well equipped. We enjoyed mountain biking at Sherwood pines, walking at Rufford & midweek (the purpose of our trip!) we got married at Arnot Hill in Nottingham 🙂 Everyone loved the hot tub, also the spa bathroom was a big favourite. Would definitely like to return in the future.”

“Ideal place for a family gathering. We recently had a lovely family weekend at Rufford Park Lodge. The lodge is comfortably furnished for 10 with plenty of lounging space and a sunny dining area. The kitchen was well equipped for all our needs. Hot tub was a major attraction for the grandchildren. Nearby Rufford Park was well worth the short stroll. Enjoyed our visit.”

“A fantastic cottage with plenty of room, a lovely garden, and the hot tub was a real bonus! Our only minor gripe was that there weren’t enough baking trays to cook a roast dinner for 10 people. But a quick trip to Sainsbury’s quickly remedied that. We would all highly recommend staying here!”

“We had a great time at rufford lodge. Close to Sherwood pines, Sherwood Forest & centre Parcs.
The garden was very private and the house clean & comfortable. The property manager was really helpful too.
We were a group of 10 and never felt overcrowded and enjoying the large dining table for socialising. A great find!”

We travelled to Rufford Park Lodge from Coogee Beach in Australia. My eldest son was getting married in Southwell and we searched online for a property close to Southwell for the extended family to stay in. We were thrilled with Rufford Park Lodge and so glad we had chosen it. The warm feel of the property and also the quiet surrounding area made it a welcome change from our busy city life in Sydney. A favourite was the hot tub and in my 3 year old Grandson’s words “I love your holiday house, Nanna”. That said it all for our family who stayed, and we would definitely recommend Rufford Park Lodge for family get-togethers. It was a memorable two weeks!

Fantastic location and cottage, highly recommended.

Such a great little cottage in the middle of the countryside- we had a great getaway place from the hectic pace of London! Really a home from home and the hot tub made it extra special – thank you!

A great location away from it all, but only 10 mins drive from the nearest pub (Rose and Crown – recently renovated and had a lovely selection of drinks though didn’t eat there). Close to Sherwood Forest and Southwell (the Workhouse and Abbey were very interesting) and Rufford Abbey was potentially walkable (through the private road) and a nice way to spend a sunny afternoon.
Mrs B, Huddersfield, West Yorkshire

The owners of the property were wonderful at coming back to me with answers to my questions. It helped to make the trip personal and enjoyable. A great deal of care has gone into the property and it made you feel instantly at home.

A group of 8 of us stayed at Rufford Park Lodge as it looked an ideal base for some off road cycling in Sherwood Forest. We were not disappointed as the Lodge was perfect for us. We found it clean, spacious, well furnished and well equipped. It was only a short ride for us to the trails around Sherwood Pines (the red route was so good we rode it twice!) but don’t ignore all the fantastic natural single-track in the forest as well. It was a slightly longer ride to the area surrounding Clumber Park, but well worth the effort. The XC riding in and around the area is for single speeds or geared bikes. The Lodge was a great please to chill out after a hard days riding as it had a good sized private area outside as well as a lawn to the front. We met the owners who were very pleasant and helpful.
