Dedicated Site For Holiday Home Owners

As owners of a self-catering holiday cottage in the heart of Sherwood Forest, we identified the need for a forum where holiday home owners could share their experiences and knowledge, and ask questions openly about anything to do with the successful running of their business.

We came to the conclusion that the best place for this would be Facebook and so we went ahead and created a fan page and subsequently a closed group.

The fan page is visible to anyone and can be used to promote your holiday home completely free of charge, whilst the closed group is specifically for owners wanting to engage in direct conversation with other owners.

Forget Cabins With Hot Tubs When You Can Have A Whole Cottage

Why Cabins With Hot Tubs Might Leave You Exposed

Many people now look for accommodation with hot tubs in the search for some much needed rest and relaxation during their getaways, but do they always turn out to be what you are expecting?

Their popularity means many cabin style lodges and log cabins have added tubs which can range from the smaller domestic spa to wooden barrel style tubs, but when you are paying a premium for this facility do you really want to spend your time away in something you might keep fish in at home, when you deserve the real thing?

Due to their size and weight they will almost always be outside and often not in a secluded spot, leaving you to put bravado before dignity. Then there is the question of water quality – if it smells like a stagnant pond then that’s essentially what it is. Never feel obliged to step into a tub just because it is there. If it doesn’t look or smell right then take it up with the management straight away as Legionnaire’s is a serious health issue that hot tub owners need to be continually vigilant about. Many are of course, but if you are not convinced, don’t chance it.

Hot Tub Getaways In Nottinghamshire

If you happen to be looking for family or group accommodation in the Nottinghamshire area, our holiday cottage sleeps up to ten adults and you will find a premium hot tub situated in our private courtyard where you can get all the rest and relaxation you need without concern. We use bromine rather than chlorine to ensure water quality as it is kinder to the skin, and our hot tub is inspected and cleaned by a professional company between every booking. During your stay it filters, cleans and heats itself automatically.

Why settle for less?

The afternoon tea revival is showing no sign of slowing down with the fashion for elegant towers of sandwiches, scones and cakes proving as popular as ever.

The quintessential British tradition is the perfect celebration for hen parties, anniversaries, baby showers, birthdays and of, course, Mother’s Day, which is this Sunday, March 11.

Cucumber triangles, scones laden with clotted cream and jam and fancy cakes can be washed down with gallons of tea (coffee, if you must) or a glass of fizz.

We picked the best of the bunch in and around Nottingham, from quaint tearooms to fine dining restaurants and historic landmarks.

Remember advance booking is required and, if you’re thinking of visiting on Mother’s Day, many of these are filling up fast.
