Situated in Deer Park, near Rufford Abbey and Country Park, the accommodation is suitable for groups and families of up to ten plus an infant. The property is surrounded by farmland and fields, and being part of Deer Park it has free roaming herds of deer which can often be seen at dawn. This creates the ideal setting for a retreat, with natural peace and quiet if you want it, for wellness, wellbeing, relaxation and meditation breaks.

For those looking for more active breaks there is a multitude of options including go-karting at Amen Corner, a high wire tree-top experience at Go-Ape, off-roading at Lockwell Hill, archery to zorbing at Adrenalin Jungle which is also mainly known for its paintball, a theme park at Wheelgate Park and a petting zoo at White Post Farm.

Whatever your intentions, one of the most popular features is our hot tub. Replaced in June 2017, our hot tub is for our guest’s exclusive use and is situated in a private courtyard. We use bromine rather than chlorine as it is kinder to the skin and more suited to higher temperatures, and the hot tub is drained, cleaned and refilled between each booking so you can be assured the water is completely fresh on your arrival. The cleaning and maintenance is carried out under contract by Spafix Midlands and is covered for emergency repairs to ensure you won’t be disappointed.

Welcome to Rufford Park Lodge, situated in Sherwood Forest and within what used to be the grounds of the historic Rufford Abbey Estate where it served as a Hunting Lodge for the head gamekeeper. 

Located in the centre of an historical area with something for everyone and enough to keep even the most active of people busy, no matter how long your stay. There are many sites of historical interest, great parks that can be appreciated on foot or bike, attractions for all ages, inns with reputations for great food, and some excellent restaurants.

Accommodation comprises a double en-suite bedroom on the ground floor , two double bedrooms, two twin bedrooms and two bathrooms on the first floor. There are two reception rooms on the ground floor – a dining room with an extendable oak table that seats up to ten people, and a lounge with reclining leather sofas, a Sony 42″ Flat Screen TV with surround sound, and Sky+ HD. Wifi is also provided for your convenience.
